In programma dal 13 dicembre 2007 fino al 15 febbraio 2008 alla Sala Santa Rita di Roma la mostra "Nei panni di una bambola", una selezione di circa 60 esemplari di bambole riunite sotto il marchio Lenci - provenienti da una più ampia collezione privata che raccoglie oltre 200 pezzi dal 1874 agli anni Sessanta.[Vedi: Grazia Caiani collection 1919-1940
Looking for Edith the Lonely Doll
A reader writes to say that she is a collector of The Lonely Doll Series of childrens books featuring Edith The Lonely Doll. She is looking for a cloth doll like Edith, following is my response:

Small plastic Edith dolls were made by a couple of companies - see examples on ebay currently
Mr Bear in the stories is a 1950's Schuco yes-no bear
and the Little Bear was a Steiff
